Removals and Copyright
Two kinds of request reach this page: an image published without the consent of the person in it, and a copyright complaint. The first is the more urgent and is dealt with first.
This is a working draft. It describes how the site behaves today and has not yet been through a legal review. If you are relying on it for something that matters, write to us first and we will answer in writing.
If you are in a photograph and did not agree to it
Tell us and it comes down. You do not need a lawyer, a form, or proof of copyright, and you do not need to explain yourself. Send us the address of the page and enough for us to see which image you mean, through the contact page.
We take the material down while we look at it, not after. If we need anything from you to confirm the request is yours, we will ask for the least that will do, and we will not publish or pass on whatever you send.
The same applies, with more urgency, to any image you believe shows a person under 18. Those are removed immediately and reported to the appropriate authority.
Copyright complaints
If material here infringes a copyright you own or represent, write to us with:
- the address of each page carrying the material, and which item on it you mean;
- enough about the original for us to identify it;
- how to reach you;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them;
- your signature, electronic or otherwise.
Complete notices are acted on promptly. We tell whoever published the material that it has been removed and why, and we pass on your notice, so send nothing in it that you are not prepared for them to read.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was wrong, write to us saying which material, where it was, and why you believe the removal was a mistake or a misidentification, with a statement to that effect under penalty of perjury and a way to reach you. We pass it to the complainant. Restoring the material depends on what they do next.
Repeat infringement
An account or advertiser that repeatedly publishes material they have no right to publish is removed from Asia Escort Directory, not warned indefinitely.
Where to send all of this
The contact page carries the current addresses. Pick the removal topic on the form and it is routed accordingly. A designated agent for copyright notices is to be registered and named here before launch.
